Dr. Yvonne N. Covin is a board-certified internal medicine physician providing comprehensive adult primary care in Frisco, Texas. She has practiced primary care medicine since 2015 and is accepting new patients.

Dr. Covin is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors. She went on to receive her Medical Degree from The University of Texas School of Medicine at San Antonio and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Columbia University Medical Center. She also completed a fellowship in General Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and earned a Master of Education in the Health Professions from Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Covin’s clinical interests include preventive care, diabetes, hypertension, women’s health, depression and anxiety, medical weight management, and lifestyle medicine. She has more than five years of experience caring for patients with obesity and takes an individualized, evidence-based approach to helping patients achieve sustainable improvements in their health.

Before moving to the Frisco area, Dr. Covin was recognized as a Best Doctor by San Antonio Scene Magazine for three years. She has also authored publications on clinical reasoning and the evaluation of new patient symptoms in primary care.

In her spare time, Dr. Covin enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, hiking, playing tennis, traveling to the beach, and supporting her children’s sports activities.
